- Chelsea are reported with no injuries with their game against City ahead.
- City will be without their deadliest striker of all time Sergio Aguero, which means Gabriel Jesus will start upfront.
- De Bruyne is also sidelined to face his former team.
- Zichenko and Kompany are also doubts to face against Chelsea.
- Mendy and Bravo are also sidelined with their knee injury and achilles respectively.
- Predicted Lineup (COMBINED):
SAKRIYA MAHARJAN’S PREDICTION AHEAD OF CITY
After a flying start in the Chelsea career Sarriball was exposed to their London rivals Tottenham Hotspurs. Showing signs of positivity the Blues thrashed PAOK and beat Fulham 2-0 in their home. After 2 back to back wins the blues were expected an easy victory against the newly promoted side Wolves. To everyone’s shock the Wolverhampton Wanderers grabbed 3 points in their own backyard. The blues took the lead with Loftus Cheek’s goal. With Chelsea dominating in the initial phase of the game. However the home team showed their resilience to comeback and score twice. This shocking result saw Chelsea drop down to fourth place 10 points behind the league leaders and their next opponent Manchester City. Manchester City have been in full throttle mode and are scoring for fun. Their unbeaten run in the league shall be countered by the Sarriball of Chelsea in the Stamford Bridge. With their in form striker Sergio Kun Aguero and last year’s best player Kevin de Bruyne out due to injury Chelsea seem to have the upper hand. Despite their absence City possess threat in their team play and in form wingers Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling. On the other hand Chelsea’s struggling Forward will be accompanied by the man in blue Eden Hazard. The Belgian hasn’t been scoring as often as in the start of the season but has been showing glimpses of his class popping in assists chart twice in last two games. This is going to be a tough game to both of the sides with Chelsea having the slight advantage with the City players absence and home benefit. City on the other hand have the opportunity to increase their win streak . I think Chelsea’s upper hand will see them come over Guardiola’s confident Manchester side by a narrow 2-1 victory. The game shall be a test to both Goal keepers and is expected to be all out attack. I predict Hazard to score the first goal with Giroud’s assist to take the lead and City’s in form wingers in action to equalise with Sterling popping up the goal charts once again, then Ng’olo Kante grabbing up an assist in the final stage feeding Alvaro Morata for the winner.
